Mrs-H > Here's the gross you out portion of the slide show. This is a burning ghat. Usually you'll see two or three bodies burning here at any one time. I'll explain the scene for you. Kids on the left are taking leftover firewood that was used to burn somebody's relative the night before. Girl on the right is getting some drinking water from the river. Guy in the water with the basket is sifting for jewelry that may have been attached to the cremated bodies. Just another day in Varanasi.
